The 18th October episode of Lakshmi Niwas brings an emotional family discussion, as Nalini wishes for another grandchild and Veer explains why he will not plan one.

Veer and Radhika play Dandiya together, sharing happy moments and smiles. Watching Veer, Radhika and Nia together, Nalini feels they make a beautiful family, and believes it would feel complete if Nia had a younger sibling.

Nalini expresses her wish for another grandchild, and Lakshmi agrees, supporting the idea of Veer and Radhika expanding their family. But Veer has a different perspective, and he is not ready to fulfil his mother's wish.

Veer tells Nalini he cannot fulfil her wish. Surprised, Nalini asks why he is refusing another child. Veer explains that Nia is already his daughter, and he considers her his only child. He wants to give Nia all his love without making her feel that her place has changed.

Since Nia is Radhika's adopted daughter, Veer worries that planning a baby could make Nia feel left out. He does not want his daughter to feel insecure or believe that a biological child would receive more love. For Veer, being a father is not about having a biological child. Nia is his daughter, and he wants her to always feel equally loved and valued.

The episode ends.

Precap: Lakshmi Niwas 19th October 2026

The precap hints at whether Nalini accepts Veer's decision, or keeps trying to convince him and Radhika to plan another baby.

Review

Veer's stand works because it comes from care, not defiance. He refuses his mother and grandmother's wish for one reason: protecting Nia from ever feeling like an outsider. The tension now sits with Nalini, since pushing her wish could make Nia feel exactly the insecurity Veer is trying to prevent.
