Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan 10th October 2026 Written Update on SerialWrittenUpdate.com
The 10th October episode of Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan delivers the show's boldest hour yet. Yes, Sahana chooses self-respect over her marriage: standing before the village panchayat, she recounts every cruelty she suffered, demands a divorce from Murli, and returns her mangalsutra to him. This zee tv written update traces how an ordinary girl finds extraordinary courage.
The panchayat gathers to settle Murli's apology
The village panchayat sits in session to decide the matter of Murli's apology. Durgavati, who heads the panchayat, listens carefully and says she will give her decision only after hearing the matter from both sides. The gathering settles in, knowing a family's future hangs on what is said today.
The Panch argues Sahana must save her marriage
The Panch speaks in favor of ending the matter. He argues that Murli has broken with his own family and sent them to jail, so forgiving him is the reasonable path. He declares that a woman's identity comes from her marriage, and that Sahana must keep her marriage at any cost. Durgavati then turns to Ganga and asks what she wants.
Ganga leaves the final decision to Sahana
Ganga answers with a mother's clarity. She says she does not believe Sahana should break her marriage, but the final decision must belong to Sahana herself. Sahana nods quietly at her mother's words, feeling the weight of the choice placed in her hands.
Sneha demands Sahana's side be heard
The Panch asks Ganga to guide her daughter and show the right path, insisting that Sahana is acting out of anger and must learn to value marriage. Sneha interrupts with a sharp question: must they repeat their own past mistakes instead of listening to Sahana first? Shekhar supports Sneha. The Panch snaps at Sneha to stay quiet, declares the panchayat does not support divorce, and presses Ganga to accept. Durgavati stops them at once, saying nobody needs to interrupt.
Durgavati invites Sahana to speak without fear
Durgavati makes her stand clear. She must hear Sahana's side of the story too, and she asks Sahana to speak without any fear. The panchayat falls silent. All eyes turn to the young woman whose marriage is being debated as if it were village property.
Sahana recalls her love story and her mother's support
Sahana begins in a steady voice. She says she is only an ordinary girl, and that Ganga worked hard to raise her daughters alone. When she fell in love with Murli, she did not have the courage to speak of it. But Ganga learned everything, supported her, and got her married to Murli, even though she hid the truth about the dowry from them. It is a memory of love and gratitude that makes what follows even more painful.
Sahana reveals the sold jewellery and Kaushalya's plotting
Sahana then drops the first bombshell. Her in-laws sold her jewellery and replaced it with fakes. She stayed quiet and tolerated everything for Murli's sake. Over time she realized Kaushalya wanted to break her marriage. She tried to confide in Murli but could never prove the truth. As she reaches this part, Kaali arrives and quietly overhears.
Sahana speaks of Manoj's misbehavior and Binita's entry
Through tears, Sahana says Manoj tried to misbehave with her, and adds that Manoj also tried to misbehave with Soni. Ganga asks why Sahana never told her any of this before. Sahana explains she protected herself and her sister too: she told Kaushalya the truth and begged for help, but Kaushalya did not help her and instead brought Binita home to marry Murli. Sahana reveals that Binita faked an illness as part of the scheme.
The poisoned laddoo test and Murli's broken trust
Sahana says Indu and Kaushalya plotted together and branded her characterless, and Murli assumed she had a relationship with someone else. She kept a Nirjala fast for Murli, yet he still accused her of being characterless. She tolerated it all and took the ultimate test: she ate the poisoned laddoo Kaushalya had prepared, just to make Murli trust her. But he left her anyway. She fell to the ground and begged for help, and nobody helped her. Murli left her to die, and Sneha consoles her as she remembers it. Sahana adds that Murli did not trust her even then and claimed she ate the poison only to scare his family. He came to the hospital and asked her to apologize, and she refused.
Sahana chooses self-respect and returns her mangalsutra
Sahana says she has forgiven Murli, but she cannot forget everything. She has given enough tests and will not tolerate more. She knows life will be hard for a divorced woman, but she has watched Ganga live with self-esteem, and she wants to protect her own self-esteem too. Her marriage had no respect in it. She can live without love and without a life partner, she says, but she cannot live without respect. A woman should not bow so low to save a relationship that she shatters completely. Sneha hugs her with pride. Then Sahana speaks the words that stun the gathering: she has gathered the courage to break her marriage and wants a divorce from Murli. Murli stares in shock. Sahana removes her mangalsutra, places it in Murli's hands, and tells him they are now free from their relationship.
Indu schemes for a phone inside the jail
Meanwhile, Indu sits in jail plotting her way out. She hears that a fellow prisoner has a phone, and she considers stealing it or doing something drastic to escape. Later she talks to the prisoner and tries to take the phone from her. When the prisoner faces trouble, Indu hides the phone and saves her, playing a longer game.
The episode ends.
Precap: Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan 12th October 2026
The precap hints that Murli's reaction to the divorce demand will shake the family further. It looks like Ganga may have to stand between her daughter's decision and a village that refuses to accept it.
Review
This is one of the finest episodes the show has produced. Sahana's speech builds patiently, fact by fact, from the sold jewellery to the poisoned laddoo. By the time she removes the mangalsutra, the viewer is not surprised. She has earned that moment.
Durgavati deserves credit too. Her insistence on hearing Sahana's side gives the episode its moral spine. Against the Panch's talk of a woman's identity coming from marriage, her simple line about nobody needing to interrupt lands as the episode's quietest and strongest statement.
