The 16th October 2026 episode of Anupama brings Navratri joy to the Shah house as Ansh wins custody of Pranshi and brings her home, but Vasundhara already vows to take the child back. At the same time, a vision of the goddess gives Anupama fresh courage in her fight against the Mathela builders.

The day opens with Navratri preparations. Anupama talks with Leela and Hasmuk about growing barley, then gathers the family for Ganesh puja. She performs the aarti and prays for everyone.

Ansh arrives with Pranshi, and Anupama welcomes the little girl home. Prerna looks upset at the new arrival, and Paritosh grumbles about the cost of raising her, but Pakhi points out that Ansh will look after his daughter. Hasmuk asks to play with Pranshi, but Ansh refuses to let her go.

Gautam breaks down before Anupama over losing custody. Vasundhara cannot understand the loss despite a good lawyer, while Anil tells Meeta that Gautam stayed only for Pranshi. Gautam blames Anupama, and Prem and Rahi suggest he return home. Vasundhara asks Gautam to stay, warns Rahi, and declares that Anupama may play with Pranshi for three or four days, but she will bring her great-granddaughter back at any cost.

The episode turns to Anupama's own battle when she learns that another customer refuses to stand up to the Mathela builders. She breaks down, wondering why no one supports her, when a girl appears as Goddess Durga. A woman in the crowd steps forward and promises to stand by her.

The episode ends.

Precap: Anupama 17th October 2026

The precap hints that Mohanlal Mathela meets Anupama, orders her to sit down, and says he wants to discuss something. It looks like his commanding tone will leave Anupama furious.

Review

This episode balances celebration and conflict well. Pranshi's homecoming gives the Shah house a warm centre, and Vasundhara's vow keeps the custody thread alive. The Durga vision is the standout moment, turning Anupama's despair into resolve without solving her fight for her.

The Gautam track feels stretched, with his tears landing flat after his behaviour. Still, the coming clash with Mohanlal should decide where the builder story goes next.
